ENTRANCES

1...If space permits, there should be least one comfortable chair and a table big enough to keep the mail,a telephone, and small paraphernalia.or keep a console..

2...If the space is too narrow for a table or a chair, try putting in a shelf..

3...Flooring should be tough,hard-wearing and practical.one can hardly expect carpets to remain clean here, unless there is a door-mat to rub off the excess dirt from footwear.

BRIGHT IDEAS

1...First of all, examine your living space, decide on your favourite spot--and make it the focal point of the room...

2...Before buying anything ,think about the intended purpose for each room.if you want your home to offer relaxation after long working hours, use light colours, but if you would rather feel energized by your surroundings, use brighter colours....

3...The best time to buy furniture is during the festive season, when most stores offer whopping discounts.

4...If you are thinking of buying a piece of art ,buy a simple one.Don't go in for expensive frames. The picture should be the centre of your attention..
5...Mirrors,even inexpensive ones, are an excellent choice - as they create the illusion of depth.
6...A little re-arranging can completely change the look of a room.

As political barriers become more porous, design seeks new definition. One that refuses to be straight jacketed in to a certain type, style or country code. It is a way of life, a home with Belgian art, Syrian woodwork, Chinese calligraphy and Indian miniature. Fusion is definitely the flavor.

The key to good design or good fusion is, off course, restraint, a judicious blend and overall implementation. It is the artistic realization that determines whether or not the end result is an improvement on the original. Fusion is then far from confusion.
